I was drawn to restoration by the quiet puzzle of it: working out how something was made, what has happened to it and what it needs now. Older furniture holds the evidence of real hands and real homes. I never want to sand all of that away.
My approach sits somewhere between respect and imagination. Sometimes a piece wants a faithful repair and a careful wax. Sometimes a brave colour, new hardware or an unexpected fabric lets its shape sing again. The job is to listen before deciding.
I take inspiration from Scottish landscape colours, old botanical illustrations, honest joinery and the satisfying geometry of mid-century design. But most projects begin with you: your room, your memories and the way you want to live with the piece.
More than one maker

Art of Morrow was never meant to be a showroom for my work alone. The shop gives local artisans a thoughtful, permanent place for the things they make — ceramics, prints, textiles, jewellery and practical pieces for the home.
That same idea runs through our workshops and the Linlithgow Night Market: skilled people sharing what they know, and neighbours choosing to support work made close to home.
